As the group finance leader, Ashraf who also a Chartered Accountant under Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Asean Chartered Professional Accountant (Asean CPA) and also a Member of Malaysia Institute of Management (MMIM) is responsible for the group finance functions including project capital raising and financial management.    

Recently, C-Level Focus magazine, a company based in USA recognized Ashraf as one of the Top Ten Best CFOs while Hay Market Asia nominated him as one of top 5 Best Treasurer (CFO Marquee Award) to recognize his 10 years’ experience and contributions together with the team under his leadership in term of operational and strategic know-how on the implementation of trade financing in the development of renewable energy infrastructure projects in Malaysia. His experience helps to turn the Gading Group from a small company to be one of the well-established renewable-energy in Malaysia and Asia.
In his current role, other than leads the Group finance functions and he also assists Business Development functions and acts as the strategic advisor for business expansion and diversification to expand the group to be one of the well-established global renewable energy projects-developer in the future.

Prior to joining Gading Kencana, he was attached to Scomi Marine Berhad, Cooper Cameroon Sdn Bhd and UMW Pennzoil Distributors in various roles. He believes to mitigate the future risks, one of the tools lies with us, the renewable energy sources.
